Do you think he was just “sampling,” like the with-it postmodern person he is?
(OK, maybe it’s not such a big deal, but I’m not exactly sure how I can explain it to my students.)

hey, weren’t you complaining a couple posts ago about the substanceless negative campaigning being done by the Obama camp?>>when i had students, i actively encouraged them to plagiarize from each other like that.
my goodness Nada…>>If she inspires such fire in you, the go forth and cast your vote.>>Let those whose passions burn for Obama cast theirs>>Who ever wins, >practicality that must inspire a nation or a nation inspired to make things work, we will be far faaaaar better off than we are now.>>Unless the silver haired harbinger fear gets the job. If that happens, we are all screwed.
Please don’t be anonymous! Tell me who you are! Actually Blogger does not allow you to filter those who would comment anonymously.>>I don’t think I feel all that passionate about Hillary anymore,to be honest. Half my fire is just contrarian. I just get annoyed seeing everyone going all guru-worshippy on Obama and I want a lady president in my lifetime, thassall. >>I agree that the most important thing is that the Democrats win. If that means trashing Hillary and her lifetime of public service, not to mention her fearsome ambition, well then so be it. She has run a crappy campaign with bad songs. Obama is cuter and has a better voice.>>I don’t think I’m doing “substanceless negative campaigning” here, Adam. I’m just being a smartass!
fair enough. but a clinton press conference to accuse obama of “plagiarism” for repeating a political catch-phrase written by somebody who works for his campaign is the kind of bullshit we can all do without. Assuming that we’ll never abolish cliches from political discourse, Obama’s brand of bullshit (empty rhetoric about “hope” and “change”) at least wins him some votes without causing any harm.>>What? Are you AGAINST hope and change? smartass.
Nada, >>Amen to this: “I just get annoyed seeing everyone going all guru-worshippy on Obama”>>All these ppl talking about him like he’s Pilates or somethin’…>>My stance is simple: I hope we have someone who’s not republican in office.
