hey, weren’t you complaining a couple posts ago about the substanceless negative campaigning being done by the Obama camp?when i had students, i actively encouraged them to plagiarize from each other like that.

If that means trashing Hillary and her lifetime of public service, not to mention her fearsome ambition, well then so be it. She has run a crappy campaign with bad songs. fair enough. but a clinton press conference to accuse obama of “plagiarism” for repeating a political catch-phrase written by somebody who works for his campaign is the kind of bullshit we can all do without. Assuming that we’ll never abolish cliches from political discourse, Obama’s brand of bullshit (empty rhetoric about “hope” and “change”) at least wins him some votes without causing any harm.What?
