You can hit both the west coast of Turkey and some great Greek islands pretty easily. Ephesus in Turkey is a can’t miss, Troy less so, and there are a lot of scattered ruins about in small towns — saw an almost perfect temple of Athena in the middle of nowhere. So even though Italy is mostly fabulous, that would be my vote.
That’s very difficult.Turkey, perhaps, because of the better exchange rate? Is that too practical a concern?
